2024 East Coast Large Scale Train Show

It has been announced that the 2024 ECLSTS will take place on April 12th and 13th in Annapolis, Maryland. More info to come in the upcoming weeks.

2024 Northeast Large Scale Train Show
About the Northeast Large Scale Train Show The Amherst Railway Society presents the Northeast Large Scale Train Show. The event occupies 55,000 square feet in the Young building on the Eastern States Exposition fairgrounds. The show covers all facets of large scale railroading – model railroads, railroad art and photography, railroad history and preservation, tourist railroads, railroad artifacts, and railroad books and videos. The Amherst Railway Society defines :”Large Scale” as any of the following: S-scale, O-scale, G-scale, F-scale, 7.25 gauge, 7.5 gauge (1.5″ to the foot) and larger. Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28, 2024 Eastern States Exposition - The Young Building West Springfield, Massachusetts

2024 Midwest Garden Railroad Gathering
The MO-KAN Garden Railroaders are hosting the 2024 Midwest Garden Railroad Gathering May 30 - June 2, 2024 in the greater Kansas City area at the Stoney Creek Hotel & Conference Center in Independence, Missouri. The Gathering will bring Midwest based clubs and hobbyists together for four days in order to enjoy the hobby and strengthen relationships while building a stronger garden railroad community within less than a day’s drive. Featuring: self-guided garden layout tours, workshops, round tables, local vendors, modeling/photo contests, swap meet, closing night dinner and other social events providing time for garden railroaders to share knowledge, pictures and just discuss garden railroading. Registration will begin in mid-January 2024 and hotel information will be released at that time.

Big Train Operators Club 2024 Convention

The Big Train Operators Club will be hosting their 46th Anniversary Convention in Bird-In-Hand, PA. See official site for further info (Note, you must be a member of the BTOC to attend this convention but they are always looking for new members!)

2024 Rose City Garden Railway Society Annual Summer Tour

The Rose City Garden Railway Society will hold their annual Summer Tour of some of their best layouts all across the greater Portland Metro area and beyond. This year there appears to be twelve layouts included in the tour. For more info check out their website HERE.

West Coast Regional Meet
The San Diego Garden Railway Society is hosting the 2024 West Coast Regional Meet taking place Saturday August 10th to Thursday August 15th. The event boasts a week of self-guided open houses, clinics and operating sessions. The event costs $40 to register for 1 person and each additional person is $20 (Children age 12 and under are free). Registrants will receive a visitors guide describing the garden railroads and also information about other area attractions including the Chula Vista Live Steamers.

2024 Columbus Garden Railway Society Open Garden Tour

Come visit the garden railroads of Central Ohio. For over 30 years members of the Columbus Garden Railway Society have opened their gardens for public viewing and will do so again Sept 8, 2024.

Scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 8, 2024 Hours: 1:00 – 5:00 PM2024 Tour will not be “final” until the first week of September.
